Financial literacy for Singapore
We started because too many people felt lost trying to figure out their money. The advice online was either too complicated or too vague to actually use.
Our approach strips away the jargon and focuses on what actually works when you're sitting down with your bank statement and trying to make sense of where everything goes.
Back in 2014, we noticed something odd. People had access to more financial information than ever before, but most still struggled with basic budgeting. The problem wasn't lack of information—it was too much noise and not enough practical guidance.
We started small, running workshops in community centers around Singapore. What we learned from those early sessions shaped everything we do now. People needed concrete examples, not abstract principles. They wanted to see actual numbers and realistic scenarios, not idealized versions that never matched their lives.
The online platform grew from those in-person sessions. We built quizzes and interactive exercises that mirror the challenges people face when they're actually trying to budget—unexpected expenses, variable income, competing priorities.
Two people with different backgrounds who both got tired of seeing budgeting advice that didn't match reality.

Came from adult education and saw how often financial literacy programs miss the mark. Focuses on making content accessible without being patronizing—people are smart, they just need information presented clearly.
